Located at the base of the Foothills just blocks north from the downtown mall and west of Broadway, Newlands subdivision has been a transitioning area. Approximately 650 homes comprise the area surrounded by park and walking distance to shopping and local eateries. Access to great hiking trails and downtown make it a very appealing neighborhood to live in. Price ranges start in the upper 400's but primarily lie in the 600-2.5 million range. Although its not uncommon to find a home built at the turn of the century, homes in this area are diverse in architecture many dating back to the 40-60's. Many have been remodeled and even scraped for today's buyer's needs. Many of the homes preserve their turn of the century appeal with additions added and or interiors updated. Lot sizes vary but are typically platted as most old town areas (long and narrow), some having double lots.
